Asthma
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory lung condition that can affect children and adults. There are both allergic (triggered by environmental factors) and intrinsic asthma. Symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing and difficulty in breathing. Asthma can also manifest simply as a chronic cough without other respiratory complaints.
Another form of asthma is elicited when exercising. This can hamper performance in sports and exercise and limit one's activity. It should be evaluated when experiencing wheezing or shortness of breath during physical activities.

Immunology
We specialize in identifying and managing immune-deficient states. One should consider an immune deficiency if there is multiple, recurrent infections, multiple antibiotic courses or if there is an atypical infection.
